Delaware Valley Links Hold Fundraiser
President Dr. Ernestine Carter, and Elleanor Jean Hendley, chair of the International Trends and Services Committee, at the chapter's program, Philly Tap Dance Showcase and Tribute to the Silver Belles. The fundraising event, held at the Seaport Museum at Philadelphia's Penn's Landing, featured performances by tap dance legends accompanied by a jazz band, and an historical video.

Zeta Phi Beta Honors Teenshop Founder
Shante Dash, president of Zeta Phi Beta, Zion Teenshop alumna and Teenshop board member, recommended Elleanor Jean Hendley to receive the sorority's prestigious Woman of the Year Award. Elleanor received the award during the group's annual Finer Womanhood Luncheon.

Hendley Receives Community Service Award
Grace Teenshop's program director and chapter alumna Felicia Harris (left) nominated Teenshop founder, Elleanor Jean Hendley, to receive the Community Service Award from Philadelphia's Thankful Baptist Church. Felicia is a longtime church member and is also working on her Master's Degree.
The award was presented during the annual Scholarship Luncheon. Suzann Henry, Grace Teenshop's treasurer and talented singer/songwriter, performed during the event.

The Philadelphia Tribune Celebrates 125 Years of Service
Althea Fogle, Executive Director of Mount Carmel Teenshop (left), Frances McPhail, Program Director and alumna of Zion Teenshop, and Elleanor Jean Hendley were among Teenshop family members celebrating the 125th Anniversary of The Philadelphia Tribune. The newspaper has been tremendously supportive through the years sharing news about Teenshop, and we were happy to be a part of this milestone.

Teenshop Alumna Donates Funds
Elena Singleton, a chapter alumna and Executive Director of Grace Teenshop, held a fundraising party to celebrate her 30th birthday and gave fifteen hundred dollars of the proceeds to Teenshop, Inc. Although Elena generously donated the funds to the general Teenshop treasury, we felt that Grace Teenshop should be the beneficiary since her chapter has the largest enrollment and more girls to serve.
