25th Anniversary Gala

It all started on June 15, 1985. Now, twenty-five years later on June 19, 2010 at Philadelphia's Penns Landing Caterers, dozens of young ladies in white ball gowns and white gloves were presented before an audience of more than five hundred family members, friends, and supporters.

Who knew this day could come? Never did I imagine that a program begun simply to help nurture adolescent girls would expand to become one of the nation's longest running weekend volunteer programs dedicated exclusively to the positive development of female youth. To date, we've served more than three thousand "girls with goals" and we're proud that while enrolled in Teenshop, no one drops out of school or becomes a teen parent. All of our graduates attend college or professional schools.

Our successful journey to this milestone event was made possible by caring adults from all walks of life who are committed to helping girls achieve their goals. Foremost among them are our volunteer chapter officers who are truly the foundation upon which Teenshop stands. They are women who year after year unselfishly share their time and talent to help parents raise their daughters to become positive, productive, and concerned citizens. So to our leadership team, and to everyone who has helped Teenshop make a difference, a very heartfelt thank you.
