The Grace Teenshop has been in existence since October 1993, and includes girls from Chestnut Hill, Mt. Airy, Germantown and Oak Lane. As we begin our 14th program year, we are proud of our past achievements and look forward to exploring new adventures with each workshop. Our aim is to empower our girls with the tools to become the dynamic young woman that is waiting to be released from within, so that they can operate successfully in their world. The tools of enlightenment include: community service, college tours, leadership development, educational opportunities, personal development and travel.

We are most proud of the clothing collection drives, working with senior citizens, the Children's Christmas Festivals, preparing Thanksgiving Baskets, assisting with the Annual Easter Egg Hunt and our projects with Philadelphia Cares. Our teens have benefited greatly from the various educational opportunities, and our college tours can't be beat. Our teens have experienced the Freedom Ride, and we have toured most of the Eastern Historical Black Colleges, as well as Widener University, Chestnut Hill College and Albright College.

Teenshop has provided me with so many great opportunities and I know that I have grown through my experiences in the program. I will carry memories of it all with me through college and throughout my life.
