Brittany Paris identifies and coordinates care for patients with chronic conditions or those who are at risk for chronic conditions like Diabetes, Hypertension, and Obesity. With the help of health professionals, patients, their families, as well as ongoing educational support, she assesses and addresses health education barriers. Also as a certified health education specialist, her daily goals are to work in collaboration with patients and their families, monitor and evaluate the patient care plan in order to determine its effectiveness, and make adjustments as needed to improve patient outcomes. Having lost 70 pounds before her high school senior prom, chronic disease prevention is close to her heart.
When she is not doing Zumba, she spends her time volunteering as an alumna of Teenshop, Incorporated and visiting the patients of Crossroads Hospice. In the future, she plans to add author to the growing list of her hobbies and talents.
Brittany graduated summa cum laude from The Philadelphia High School for Girls in 2010. In 2014, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree summa cum laude from Howard University, a certification in health education, and then an MPH degree and gerontology certificate from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2016.
Brittany is an alumna of Grace Teenshop and has remained active with our program. She participated in the 2009 Residential College Preparatory Program for Rising Senior Scholars at Bryn Mawr College in Montgomery County, PA, and served as a Women’s History Month Leadership Luncheon Mistress of Ceremonies.
