Teenshop is a 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax-deductible. Our Tax ID number: 23-2614233.

Since Teenshop was founded on June 15, 1985, more than 3,000 girls of color have been enrolled in our five chapters, and we’re proud of 100% college acceptance. Our exceptional volunteer chapter leadership teams of professional women include Teenshop alumnae who are now successfully pursuing their careers, and mothers who have enrolled their daughters.

“I learned to be proud of myself through an exercise we do ritually, introductions. Whenever I would introduce myself, I was scared and unsure of myself. Through the years of having to introduce myself to numerous presenters who would conduct our workshops, I learned to be more accepting of myself and tell people who I am with confidence. Teenshop brought me out of my shell and has helped pave the road for college for me.”

Priya Glover, South Jersey Teenshop alumna
